Thomas M Carman, DVM

Born and raised in Lewisdale within biking distance of Lynn Animal Hospital, Dr. Carman has been in this area most of his life. He was destined to be a veterinarian says his mother after she tells many stories of the snakes and turtles he would drag home after school. He even managed to put fish in his swimming pool as a child so that he could release them again in the spring at the duck pond on University Blvd.

Dr. Carman graduated from Northwestern High School in 1978. He then attended the University of Maryland at College Park and finished school in 3 1/2 years graduating in the fall of 1981 with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science with additional studies in chemistry and biology/zoology. During this time he worked as a doctor's assistant at Lynn Animal Hospital from 1980-1984.

In 1984 he entered the newly created Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. He received his degree in 1988 as a member of the 5th graduating class. As he approached graduation, he was contacted by Lynn Animal Hospital about returning as a doctor. He commented laughingly, "They drug me back."

He works on dogs, cats, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and other small mammals.  He is happy to see those bird patients already on record with the hospital but he is no longer accepting new bird patients.

Dr. Carman is currently a resident of Laurel. He loves to trail ride on his bike, garden, and is a self-proclaimed "Sci-fi Geek."

Christinia Stancliff-Lubow, DVM

Dr. Stancliff-Lubow is a proud Maryland native and has always been passionate about learning.  She enjoyed her years at Washington College (Chestertown, MD) while earning dual undergraduate degrees in Biology & Environmental Studies in 2006.   During and in between degrees Dr. Stancliff-Lubow pursed her love of animals, working as a veterinary assistant.  After earning her DVM at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Blacksburg, VA) in 2015, she has gained valuable experience in both corporate practice and shelter medicine. She joined Lynn Animal Hospital  in August of 2016 in order to practice medicine with a more personal connection to her clients and the community.

Dr. Stancliff-Lubow and her family enjoy the companionship of three amazing cats: Pimchang & Kiet (orphaned siblings adopted from a shelter) & Aidan Dubh (adopted after recovering from a lost battle with a horde of dachshunds).  They also love their two noisy but entertaining parrots:  Charlie (a Blue & Gold Macaw, rescued after losing a wing) & Link (an Eclectus parrot named after the hero in the Zelda video games).  Her spare time is filled with game nights with friends & family, reading, cooking, & creating enrichment for her feathered and furry family members.

Rachael Frost, DVM

Dr. Rachael Frost, a native of Northern Virginia, grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. She attended Mississippi State University, receiving an undergraduate degree in Animal and Dairy Science with minors in Spanish and Business Administration. While at MSU, Rachael was a member of the Famous Maroon Band, Chi Omega Sorority and was on MSU’s Ultimate Frisbee team.

Rachael continued her education at Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine attaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2017. During vet school, Rachael was Vice President of her class, and spent a large amount of time working in surgery and shelter medicine.

Dr. Frost and her husband Cody, on staff at George Washington University, live in D.C. with their two dogs, Bear and Gunner, and their cat, Meow Meow. In Rachael’s spare time she enjoys reading, baking, playing ultimate Frisbee and biking through the District.
